Greece: “Greece Imposes Compulsory Mask Use, Nighttime Curfews to Combat Covid Spread”
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced new measures to stop the spread of Covid-19 in a major speech to the Greek public on Thursday. These include the use of masks in all indoor and outdoor spaces around the country, and nighttime curfews in areas which have been highly impacted by the virus.
The curfew will run from 12:30 AM from 5:00 AM, and will be in effect in all areas that are considered at an “orange” or “red” risk level. This includes Kozani and Kastoria, which are “red” areas, and are already under strict measures that resemble local lockdowns.
