Global: “Venues Open Doors As Demand For Hospital Beds Grows”
Various large scale venues across the globe are being restructured in order to accommodate for coronavirus.
In Madrid, Ifema, the 31.2m sqft conference hall and exhibition centre, is now the largest ‘hospital’ in Spain. In New York, New York’s Javits Convention Center, is being turned into a 1000 bed hospital. In Croatia the 22,000-capacity Arena Zagreb is being turned into a hospital. Whilst in Brazil, top football teams have handed over their stadiums, whilst the Série A season is suspended.
